CITY SEEDS YOUTH FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
Building resilience, preparedness, and
hope before disaster ever strikes.

Youth leadership, workforce development, climate education.
The City Seeds Youth Climate Fellowship is a leadership and workforce development program designed to equip young people with the knowledge, skills, and tools to respond to the climate crisis at the community level. Rooted in environmental justice and civic engagement, the fellowship provides hands-on learning in climate resilience, food systems, emergency response, and community organizing. Fellows are supported to understand how climate change intersects with housing, food access, public health, and economic inequality, while developing practical solutions grounded in the realities of their own neighborhoods.
Through mentorship, training, and paid project-based work, City Seeds Fellows gain real-world experience while building confidence, leadership capacity, and career pathways in climate and community-based fields. The program centers youth voice and lived experience, recognizing young people as essential leaders in shaping resilient, just futures. By investing in youth leadership today, the City Seeds Youth Climate Fellowship helps cultivate a generation prepared to protect their communities and steward lasting environmental change.
Why This Matters
Our Communities Deserve Prepared Leaders.
Climate change isn’t just about weather — it affects rent, food, jobs, health, and displacement. CITY SEEDS prepares youth to understand the challenges and become part of the solutions. When we invest in young people, we strengthen the future of the entire community.
