Feeding Families,
Strengthening Neighborhoods
Smile Gardens are community-centered growing spaces designed to increase access to fresh, healthy food while reconnecting people to land, nourishment, and collective care. Rooted in food sovereignty and environmental justice, Smile Gardens support neighborhood-led food production through raised beds, shared growing spaces, and culturally relevant crops. These gardens serve as living classrooms where community members of all ages can learn, grow, and contribute while strengthening local food systems and reducing reliance on external supply chains.
Beyond food production, Smile Gardens cultivate healing, connection, and resilience. They create opportunities for intergenerational learning, workforce development, and community stewardship, while also serving as gathering spaces for education, wellness activities, and mutual aid. By transforming underutilized spaces into sources of nourishment and pride, Smile Gardens help communities reclaim power over their food, their environment, and their collective future.

Grow with us
The Smile Trust Community Garden is more than a garden; it’s a source of food, healing, education, and resilience for our community.
Your donation helps us maintain the garden, purchase soil, seeds, tools, irrigation supplies, and support volunteer days that keep this space growing. Every dollar helps us plant more, harvest more, and share more fresh food with the people who need it most.
